After taking some time to look after Baby Whale (don’t worry that’s not his real name) I’m happy to be back at Paper Whale. A lot has been going on behind the scenes and some things have changed. I’m so happy to finally be able to share this transformation. For starters…
Being a mother means my work-life balance has shifted. The vision for Paper Whale has also changed, expanding my focus to use my design skills with unlimited creativity. This way I get to share my design portfolio with you, show you snippets of what life as a working-from-home-graphic-designer-mum is like and take you on my journey to write and illustrate a children’s book (more on this later).
Sometimes, you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and who you want to be.
Looking after a tiny human, running a business and keeping the creative juices flowing makes for an exciting balance which I think is interesting to share.
